Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell is an American actor. Born on March 27, 1970 the actress stands at 5'9" tall. Her characters include her character of Dr. Juliet Burke in ABC's Lost TV show and FBI agent Erica Evans in V. Gia the Escape Clause. Mitchell currently co-stars in Eric Kripke's television series Revolution which airs on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell, her stepfather, and Josephine Marian Mitchell are both attorneys in Dallas. Mitchell along with her mother relocated into Dallas Texas in 1970 where the mother of her child got married Joseph Mitchell in 1975. Mitchell graduated from Booker T. Washington High School which is a public magnet school for the performing as well as visual arts. She is the oldest of her three sisters; with the two other sisters having names like Kristina Kristie Mitchell & Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991 she graduated at Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and continuing her studies at the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked during six years with the Dallas Theater Center and a period in the Encore Theater. She is currently known for her role as Emily Prentiss, Special Agent on CBS's crime series Criminal Minds. In June 2010 it was reported that her character in Criminal Minds would be reduced for the season's sixth. Brewster has left the show March 2011but might return at a future date.
